Q. Can you explain in 100 words or less how Online Registration works?
A. Yes. Players complete your custom registration form and make a payment using Mastercard or Visa. The registration fee they have paid is automatically deposited into your league's bank account*. From the back end of your site, you will see a list of all players who have successfully registered. When you are ready, a few mouse clicks will move all these players into the Current Season.
Q. How does that online MasterCard/Visa payment get into my league's bank account?
A. You will be set up with a Merchant Account. Online payments go into this account temporarily before being routed to your league's bank account. In addition, there is a Payment Gateway that allows these transaction to take place online. IAM360Pro will handle merchant account/gateway setup and connect your website to this account.
Q. How do I get set up?
A. The first thing you'll want to do is touch base with our sales team by emailing your contact number to dd2iamiam@aol.com They will be able to answer any questions you have and get your paperwork started. Non-profits should have their 501c3 and a voided check available.
Q. How long will it take to get set up?
A. We recommend you start the process 7-10 business days before your online registration is set to open.
Q. The parents in our league are asking about online security. How are you protecting their credit card information?
A. We do not store any credit card information on our servers - not even the last four digits of a registrants credit card number. This is important because, in the unlikely event an unauthorized individual gains access to our servers, there is essentially no information that could lead to financial gain. In a hacker's eyes, our sites are useless. In addition, transaction data is protected by 128-bit SSL certificate that Starfield Technologies describes as "virtually unbreakable".
Q. How much does it cost?
A. We are proud to offer industry-low rates of 3.95% + $0.30 per transaction.
Q. Are there any other fees or minimums?
A. No.
Q. Which credit cards are accepted?
A. Visa and Mastercard
Q. Can payment be made by debit card?
A. Yes.
Q. Our league is not ready to eliminate walk-in registration. Can we offer both options?
A. Yes. Our system is designed so that players added by online registration, spreadsheet upload, individual entry, etc. may all end up together in your player list.
Q. Will I be able to run reports showing the information I asked for in my custom fields?
A. Yes.
Q. I need to gather some specific information (ie Insurance information, grade in school, etc.) from my registrants. Is this possible?
A. Yes. You may gather up to 20 additional pieces of information from your registrants.
Q. Can muliple players in a family register together? Can I provide additional player discounts?
A. Yes and yes.
Q. Can I charge an Online Convenience Fee?
A. Yes.
Q. Sometimes I need to collect payments other than registrations (ie Sponsorship payments, travel team payments, etc.) and the people would like to pay by credit card. Is this possible?
A. Yes. Through your Authorize.net account, you will have a virtual terminal that will allow you to take credit card information over the phone and process their payment.
Q. Is there a way to provide discounts for early registration and additional fees for late registrations?
A. Yes.
